Hello everyone! I have been off the blogging path for a moment to enjoy and host Thanksgiving in our new home. I think our house has recovered fully within the last 48 hours. My wonderful family came in from Tennessee and my extended family ( the husband' side) also gathered here for the wonderful holiday!
I have slowly been gathering Christmas inspiration and decor for our home and today I completed my main holiday diy for this season.. Magnolia wreaths for our windows!
The Magnolia wreath is a Christmas classic and it can be interpreted in traditional decor as easily as in modern decor.
These stunning wreaths are as beautiful painted as they are au natural. I knew that I wanted to incorporate the Magnolia wreath into our holiday home. Today I will show you just how I was able to deck our home with the classic southern statement piece.
I started with a simple moss wreath, gilded Magnolia leaves, and some red Greek key ribbon.
I LOVE a starburst mirror and that was the twist in this Magnolia wreath. I attached the gilded leaves around the back of the moss wreath. In doing so I increased the overall size of the wreath so that it would fit our windows properly and so that it would fit my sunburst/Magnolia affections properly!
I simply tacked the leaves in place and then hot glued the stems in place...
Once the glue dried, I removed the tacks and attached the red velvet bow via the Greek key ribbon.
The finished product is better than I imagined, and they make our home quite festive!
I want to end this blog on a serious note. I grew up in Tennessee at the foot of the beautiful Smoky Mountains. As everyone knows, this place which holds very dear memories in my heart (including my wedding day) has suffered great tragedy. I will be selling these wreaths and all proceeds will be donated to the relief and recovery efforts in Tennessee. Each wreath costs $45, and will require local pickup. Please email any order to Karvelas.firstname.lastname@example.org. I will be able to fill orders within three to five days. If you are unable to order or are too far away to order, your prayers are just as appreciated!
Thank you all again for stopping to read. Merry vibes to everyone!
