ORC week 2 Spring 2017
April 14, 2017
Here we are in week 2 of my second ever One Room Challenge! I have planned, replanned and threplanled what our new back patio will look like once we have finished and I am very excited to see our finished product; but first the work must take place.
For the first week of work, I have moved our wicker furniture from the fire pit area over to the porch. Each of the pieces then received a thorough cleaning with the INCREDIBLE Windex for outdoors spray which attaches directly to your water hose!
Seriously y'all! This cleaner made everything crazy easy; just rinse clean and rinse again...no need to detach or reattach anything!
The other project ticked off the list this week, was mounting our vintage Pizza sign. I found this awesome typographic masterpiece at a local auction. The fact that our family owns a Pizza restaurant, (Karvelas Pizza Co. in Hogansville, Ga) and my husbands grandfather came to America directly from Greece (spinach pies) made me fall hard for this piece. I won the bid at a shocking $20! Seriously, for a piece of art that is five foot by two foot, $20 is unreal. Well, Pina's Pizza sat in our garage being used here and there but lacked a permanent home until now.
Now, this beauty queen has a permanent home on the side of our home! I get goosebumps when I envision this sign underneath the glow of outdoor bistro lights...Exciting!
Now onto the checklist
1. Hang Pizza sign
2. Clean wicker furniture
3. Patio rug
7. Set light posts and hang lights
8. Dining table
9. Cooler table
10. Cover the face of the concrete pad
11. Outdoor kitchen
12. Chaise lounge
Whew! I feel like I need to step up the pace if this ORC will be a success but as for now I am very excited with planning and making some progress! Make sure to check back here with every one else's work thus far...
