interior design trials, triumphs, and inspirations
July 28, 2017
Hello everyone! It feels like the whole month of July has FLOWN and we are standing on the edge of fall.
At least the weather here in Georgia has not caught the summer-ending memo and we are enjoying southern muggy heat...that is as optimistic as I can be about the humidity!
I must say having a great day with lots of fun finds from Goodwill also helps me to find the positive...
Two sets of napkin rings! The sweet little sterling and gold bow rings will be used very soon at a soirée in the works with a girly tablescape!
I am also very excited to use this crystal pineapple at the same soirée. It will be perfect holding cinnamon sticks to stir some tea, or lemon flowers for cocktails.
This beautiful Haviland Limoges platter caught my eye with two of my favorite colors blended into a perfectly Venetian border.
This linen tunic will be worn by both my little ladies and then framed because the beading is so incredibly perfect! I jumped to grab this beauty and had zero hesitation about purchasing...
...the same is true of this hand stitched dress! The picture does not do the colors justice and my eldest daughter looks like a bohemian princess in this dress. I cannot wait to see her in the fall with a pair of cute boots, while wearing this gorgeous gown.
My last two scores are of the blue and white variety...my favorite! This great cream colored double gourd lamp came with the even more perfect navy and cream trellis patterned shade. PREPPY PERFECTION! She works perfectly with my blue and white collection and gives such sophistication. Seriously it looks great.
Last but not least is this blue and white planter. I immediately thought of placing a Christmas Amaryllis with lots of moss in this beauty. Can you tell I am ready for a change in season?
