Halloween House Tour
October 31, 2018
Hello everyone and welcome to our Fetching Halloween Home!
I usually do not put up any Halloween decor, but after a quick family trip to Eufala, Alabama which resulted in a gator head souvenir: how could I not create some spooky fun vignettes?
The gator head (whom we named Julian Jaws) inspired a voodoo bayou type of theme. A bag of Spanish moss along with some dead branches from our backyard and we had the perfect arrangements for our living room.
Spanish moss gives just the right amount of sophisticated spooky!
I love how the leaves on this branch look like little stars trickling down to some beautiful Magnolia leaves.
So with that little touch of eerie in the corners, the whole room felt festive...
I wanted to keep the understated Halloween vibe going throughout the living room, so I placed little touches throughout.
Our coffee table was already dressed in some of my favorite things: leopard, brass, tortoise and bamboo. By simply adding a couple of my children’s toys (the two rubber spiders) and our new fried Julian Jaws, this little vignette was Halloween perfection.
I love how the subtle touches add a level of curiosity. Rather than being a full on Halloween advertisement.
Just around he corner, we have a pair of cute spiders which my little ladies made with their grandmother. They were too cute not to display for everyone to enjoy.
The final touches of Halloween are on top of my Staffordshire collection. With some of the leftover craft paper, I made a few witch hats for these pretty puppies. They look adorable along with the black and white bows!
Well, that is all and hopefully you enjoyed the tour. I will be working on an ORC update and Fall home tour, but for now I need to find the candy and dress the babes for Halloween!
